Teething?

Clayton may be teething, or he may have a cold whatever it is it suck and I am done. Last 3 nights 2 hours sleep each night, he is waking up every 45 minutes. I know what you are saying why are you posting if he is sleeping.

Answer: He isn't he is screaming in his dads arms, but Jeff has to go to work soon.

Grrrr....that is all.

The Stinker Got a Boo Boo

My poor Clayton got a boo boo. He was having his evening bath and was trying to sit up on his own and he slammed his head on the edge of the mesh thing he lays in. Oh did I mention that it was metal? He started to scream right away, and I picked him out and took him to my bed, and he seemed ok. He was alert, his pupils were both the same size and reacted to light. He could follow a stuffed animal with his eyes (he wouldn't follow mommas boring finger). Ten minutes after he was laughing and trying to give me eskimo kisses. He was really sleepy, but I am not sure if that is because he was in the middle of his bedtime routine or what. He nursed and then fell asleep. I have woken him up once, and all I can see is a nasty red welt.

I tell ya I feel like the worlds worst mother. If there was a bad mom award I would sign myself up. I know that accidents happen, and more will come. I just feel so bad. I am off to bed, I am thinking of taking Clay into bed with me. I am not sure how that would help. :)

The Name Game

I wanna start of by saying that I LOVE Claytons name and would change that we chose it for the world. It's not a common name, and it has family meaning. You should see my dad beam everytime, that someone asks him where his grandson got his name. He loves to tell people how it's his middle name and all the family history that goes with it.


That being said it makes me sad that he will never be able to walk up to those racks that sell things that are already personalized and be able to pick out his name. Today I was at Babies R Us getting a rain check for a christmas gift for Clayton and they had these really cute little bowls with names in them. I searched for Clayton or Clay and of course it wasn't there. But there was a Connor so I got it for my nephew. They had ones that said things like yummy! or more! but I wasn't sure how special that would be so I left it at that.

So that is my pouty rant. Thanks

Big Achievement!

So my little man is sitting up on his own for more then a couple of seconds at a time. Today it was about 15 minutes while were were playing in his room. I can't believe it. It amazes me how much pride I have that he is able to do this. Tonight he even sat up in the bath tub, it was so much fun to watch him realize that he could use both hands to splash when sitting him. JJ one of our cats was sitting on the edge or the bathtub, and got soaked; but I think that he thought he was protecting Clayton cause he wasn't so sure about Clayton being in the bath tub. (Water and all)

I have to say the funny thing is that my little man has still not rolled over either way. I mean he's done it once or twice, but I think it's been more fluke like. He just seems to have no intrests. I think part of it is because he knows if he wants something he can scoot to it, or pull the blanket until it gets to him. So he is either a brillant strong willed little boy or really lazy. I am not sure which one I want lol. Everything I have read says not to worry until they haven't rolled by 7 months, but at the same time (and I know it's wrong) Connor my nephew has been able to do it for a while now. I am just not sure when to worry when not to. I am trying to do a bit more tummy time everyday just in case that is the reason.

Other then that nothing new to report. I wanted to upload a video on here but am not sure how. Does anyone know?

Halloween

So Claytons first Halloween was a pretty big success if you ask me. I can't believe how much candy people give to little babies. I mean they can't even eat it! lol. But we had a ton of fun going house to house. I loved hearing how cute he was. I mean I always think he's cute but it's nice to know others don't think he's not so cute lol

Anyways! I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.

Sleeping Alone Now.....

I am not sure if I am happy or sad about this, but Clayton has now moved from the bassinet in our bedroom to his crib. I am not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I am really happy because I honestly think that we'll both get a better rest, on the other I am sad cause my baby is growing up. I guess that is part of the whole mommy thing. Anyways, here is my little man sleeping for the first time in his crib. Yes, the bumper pads are most likely comming out.

Getting Excited

I have to admit that I am getting really excited for Halloween. I have never been a real Halloween type person, but this year I sorta am. This is going to be Claytons first Halloween, and even though it will be a small one it's going to be great.

Clayton is going to be a pumpkin. Well the great pumpkin in my mind lol. We have tired his costume on once, but don't have any pictures yet. Since we live in an apartment we are going to go trick or treating at two different places. The whole day is pretty much going to be spent at my parents. We are going to carve our pumpkins that we got from the patch there and get dressed their. We are then going to head out to Jeffs parents so we can show them and trick or treat with Connor. After that we are going to stop by my grandparents house to show them. Then it will back to my parents house for a little more trick or treating, and then helping handing out candy.

I am really looking forward to this, and I really can't wait to show everyone my little pumpkin. Now, I just  have to hope that it doesn't rain......

Quick Post

Just a quick post. I will do a longer one later tonight. I have started a new blog, it's all about my trying to find and embrace my inner chef. Learning to be a better cook and so forth. So I hope that you'll all come over and visit me there.
